Help the next generation of priests

by
26 April 2019

WE ARE grateful for some very generous donations in recent weeks to the Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund. Just over £45,000 has been donated this year — but we would like to raise more, so that we can help ordinands and their families who face an unforeseen financial crisis. This might be a broken-down car or a failed computer, or something more serious, such as funeral expenses.

Remember, there are no administration costs: every penny donated is given to ordinands who need help.

How to give:

GIVING online is the easiest means of donating to TAP, and saves us time in processing payments. Simply visit www.churchtimes.co.uk/train-a-priest-fund. The instructions there are clear, and there is a link to a secure page for donations. There is also a downloadable leaflet about TAP, to print and distribute in your church.

Otherwise, we accept cheques, postal orders, cash, and charity cheques, which should be sent to: TAP Fund, Church Times, 13a Hellesdon Park Road, Norwich NR6 5DR.

If you would like an acknowledgement, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

UK taxpayers: please boost your donation by making a Gift Aid declaration. Again, this can be done online.

Letters to the editor

Letters for publication should be sent to letters@churchtimes.co.uk.

Letters should be exclusive to the Church Times, and include a full postal address. Your name and address will appear alongside your letter.

Train-a-Priest Fund 2022 Appeal

Please consider a donation to TAP Africa this year. Every penny you can give goes to ordinands in Africa who face financial difficulty, to support them as they complete their training.
