IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR READERS

7, Portugal-street, London, W.C.

The Government has restricted the importation of paper and paper-making materials, and has set up a Commission to regulate an enforced reduction in the supplies of paper to all consumers.

THE CHURCH TIMES is seriously affected by this order, and it will be necessary in future to exercise economy both in the supply and size of each issue.

We ask therefore the co-operation of our readers in the circumstances.

Supplies to the agents must be reduced, in order to prevent, as far as possible, the usual wastage which occurs through the retailer ordering extra copies to meet a chance demand. This can be almost wholly avoided if our readers will give an order to their newsagent to supply the paper weekly.

And in order to economize space we ask our Correspondents to be more concise in their letters and reports, so that the most can be made of every available inch of space.
