CLIVE TOTMAN

Wreaths of fire are projected on St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday night to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London, which destroyed the Cathedral, 13,200 houses, and 87 parish churches. A 394ft wooden replica of London as it stood on 2 September 1666 was also burnt to the ground on the banks of the Thames on Sunday night in the finale of a weekend of festivals, food markets and fire gardens
