Last rites: an Orthodox priest swings a censer over the coffin of the murdered Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, during a burial ceremony at Troekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow. Nemtsov, a fierce critic of President Putin, was shot dead on a bridge near the Kremlin wall last Friday night. Thousands of mourners queued to view his coffin before it began its journey to the cemetery. Several EU politicians and the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny were barred from attending the funeral. Mr Navalny has accused the Russian authorities of responsibility for the murder.
