This is an exciting role based half time at St Michael’s, Old Rossington in a newly established Mission Area of five parishes, and half time with South Yorkshire Police, both serving a diverse socio-economic context. The successful candidate will be a person in priestly orders in the Church of England, who has completed IME2 and will be able to combine both roles with passion and care.
The Bishop of Leeds, in consultation with the Dean and Chapter, wishes to appoint an imaginative and creative priest to this senior role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming, lively and outward focused benefice on the northern outskirts of the city of Gloucester. Made up of rural villages and new housing estates, this is a varied context for ministry, with a strong emphasis on lay and ordained collaboration.
We are looking for a new rector whose love of Scripture and preaching and experience of working in a busy parish can lead and unite us into a spirit-led community, post-pandemic; who will enjoy our varied styles of worship and build a new stipendiary team.
Are you being called to step out in faith to assist in pioneering an innovative model of ministry? Are you passionate about mission, the kingdom of God and enabling the gifts of others? Are you a team player and someone who wants to make a difference? Do you have a vision for flourishing churches and communities? If so, could this be an exciting new stipendiary role for you? Come and join us in the historic market town of Thorne.
