In the Church of England, Birmingham, we seek to shape ministry for a changing church and world. We’re creating six new deaneries, each with a full -time stipendiary Area Dean. The Area Dean for our new Deanery of Yardley & Solihull will work
collaboratively to support a great variety of parishes and worshipping communities in local mission.
Our churches may be ancient, but we have a vision for future growth and progress, so we are looking for a Vicar to help us fulfil our hope for the future.
The Uttoxeter Area of Parishes is praying for a person of prayer who has vision and an enthusiasm to encourage, energise and inspire others in their relationship with Jesus. Is this you?
The Church has a vision of becoming a ‘community of communities’, with worship at the heart of each of those communities in some form. You will be responsible for developing a coherent strategy and a set of costed proposals which will equip the church to serve communities whose needs are not being met, and who may be marginalised. This will involve scoping the most urgent community needs; helping respond to, and shape, the vision of the congregation; identifying and developing partnerships with other city-centre churches and third sector providers with whom we might wish to work.
