We are seeking a VICAR with energy and passion for a group of 5 churches near the market town of Thirsk. With a range of worship styles, we understand the need to embrace imaginative new ways of outreach. We are looking for someone with vision and insight who will work alongside our enthusiastic lay leadership team and assistant priest as an encourager and guide and who will help us build on our current work especially in prayer, discipleship and service to others.
We seek a godly leader full of faith who will help the church discern together God’s leading, so as to develop the vision and strategy needed to build on our rich heritage and respond to the challenges of the time and place in which we are situated.
We are seeking an experienced Rector, who believes in the inclusion of all God’s people; values the integration of liturgy and music in our worship; demonstrates an ability to work with and motivate diverse teams; and is able to articulate their own spirituality in ways that engage thoughtfully with the bible, theological traditions and the contemporary world.
The Bishop of Leeds, in consultation with the Cathedral Chapter, wishes to appoint a creative and energetic priest to this senior role.
