O Come Emmanuel : Exploring the Advent prayers and songs of expectation

Saturday 22 November | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join us for this online retreat in preparation for Advent with the Bishop of Chelmsford, Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani, the author of Listening to the Music of the Soul, which has been chosen as the Archbishop of York’s 2025 Advent book.
Other speakers are contributors to O Come Emmanuel: Reflections on the Advent Antiphons: the Dean of Westminster, the Very Revd Dr David Hoyle; the Rector of St James, Piccadilly, the Revd Lucy Winkett; and the Revd Chris Russell, the Vicar of St Dionis’s, Parson’s Green, and a former Adviser for Evangelism and Witness to the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The retreat will include worship from St Martin-in-the-Fields, led by Richard Carter with the St Martin’s Voices.
