The Diocese of Sheffield is called to grow a sustainable network of Christ-like, lively and diverse Christian communities in every place which are effective in making disciples and in seeking to transform our society and God’s world.
We are a two church parish in a semi-urban/rural setting near Barnstaple and the North Devon coast and we are seeking a Part-Time (0.5) Priest-in-Charge.
Situated in this stunningly scenic part of North Devon, we are three distinct congregations whose town and country parishes follow the coastline from Ilfracombe to Combe Martin, on the edge of Exmoor.
The benefice was formally created in 2019 after five years of working together. It is hoped that our new Priest-in-Charge will bring drive and enthusiasm to the future development of the benefice which is set in urban and rural villages southeast of the Peak District.
These two beautiful and resourceful churches, with committed lay leaders and a wealth of opportunities on the doorsteps - including a large amount of new housing, as well as a major redevelopment of Nuneaton town centre - are seeking a full-time ordained leader
