We are looking for a Rector for these attractive villages (combined population 4,362; ER: 174; USA: 65) in the south-east corner of East Sussex, near to the historic town of Rye. The benefice comprises three parishes and four churches, with the Rector based in Brede and an Associate Vicar in Beckley and Peasmarsh.
St Margaret’s Church, Barking is a large and flourishing parish church drawing upon the broad traditions of our catholic and openly evangelical style of worship with a warm and welcoming congregation representing all ages and different ethnic backgrounds. St. Margaret’s has a deep history in Christianity dating back to 666AD, and is a Grade 1 listed building, situated in what remains of Barking Abbey
