Elizabeth Figg is an ex-QARANC officer, nurse, and midwife, now working as a freelance writer. Her husband is a vicar in the diocese of Blackburn.
The Association of Festival Churches (AFC) is a national charity supporting historic church buildings that remain open, cared for and well used, though no longer sustaining regular weekly services.
This role is an interim post for three years pending further funding but with the hope it will continue thereafter.
