Applications are invited for the position of Bampton Lecturer for 2021.
This is a very exciting opportunity to exercise a varied ministry on the edge of the City of Gloucester in a fast growing urban community with two neighbouring and lively villages.
We are seeking a VICAR with energy and passion for a group of 5 churches near the market town of Thirsk. With a range of worship styles, we understand the need to embrace imaginative new ways of outreach. We are looking for someone with vision and insight who will work alongside our enthusiastic lay leadership team and assistant priest as an encourager and guide and who will help us build on our current work especially in prayer, discipleship and service to others.
Is this the role you are being called to? We are a community of 10 churches in 8 beautiful rural Staffordshire parishes operating as 1 in our aim to grow the numbers of people touched by the Gospel through our church services and by outreach into our communities. We are praying for the person God is calling to join us here in Mid Trent. Is it you?
The Church has a vision of becoming a ‘community of communities’, with worship at the heart of each of those communities in some form. You will be responsible for developing a coherent strategy and a set of costed proposals which will equip the church to serve communities whose needs are not being met, and who may be marginalised. This will involve scoping the most urgent community needs; helping respond to, and shape, the vision of the congregation; identifying and developing partnerships with other city-centre churches and third sector providers with whom we might wish to work.
