Andrew Brown writes the weekly Press column for the Church Times. His book Fishing in Utopia, a memoir about living in Sweden, won the 2009 Orwell Prize. He is also the co-author, with Linda Woodhead, of That Was The Church That Was: How the Church of England lost the English people, published by Bloomsbury.

The National Ministry team is one of the teams of the Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England. It serves the dioceses and the bishops by providing advice and consultancy on ministry, overseeing a national process of discernment for candidates and quality assurance of their training, and supporting dioceses in their strategic planning for ministry. Its vision is for transforming ministry for mission and growth and its values are based in working collaboratively to offer a constructive, professional and expert service to the dioceses.
