Interim Dean of Exeter
AN INTERIM DEAN has been appointed for Exeter Cathedral, from August. He is the Very Revd Stephen Waine, Vicar of Piddle Valley, Hilton and Anstey, Cheselbourne and Melcombe Horsey, in the diocese of Salisbury. Trained at Westcott House, he was previously Vicar of St Edward’s, Romford, in Chelmsford diocese, becoming Archdeacon of Dorset in 2010 and then Dean of Chichester in 2015, before returning to parish ministry in 2023. He will “understand many of the challenges and opportunities churches face in Devon”, the Bishop of Exeter, Dr Mike Harrison, said.
BYARD. The Revd Nigel Byard, Rector of Lutterworth with Cotesbach and Bitteswell and Area Dean of Guthlaxton (Leicester), to be also Transition Oversight Minister for the proposed 4Y Minster Community.

DENNIS. The Revd Samantha Dennis, NSM of Sawley (Derby), to be Assistant Curate (Associate Priest).
FRITH. The Revd Dr Richard Frith, Precentor of Southwell Cathedral, to be Vicar of Doncaster Minster and Oversight Minister of Doncaster City Centre (Sheffield).
HAYCOCK. The Revd Edward Haycock, Assistant Curate of Throop, to be Associate Minister of Throop, Holdenhurst and Iford (Winchester).
HEYCOCKS. The Revd Christian Heycocks, Vicar of Sheringham and Hon. Canon of Norwich Cathedral, to be also Rural Dean of Repps (Norwich).
HOUGHTON. The Revd Joseph Houghton, Assistant Curate of Lea (Blackburn), to be Vicar.

PEARSON. The Revd Lindsay Pearson, Priest-in-Charge of Cottingley, and of Holy Trinity, Bingley (Leeds), to be Canon for Worship and Music of Derby Cathedral (Derby).
RICHARDSON. The Revd Jonathan Richardson, NS Assistant Curate in the Thetford Team Ministry, and Diocesan Children, Youth and Families Development Officer, to be Assistant Curate (Curate-in-Charge) of Redenhall with Scole (Norwich).
