New archdeacon

 

THE new Archdeacon of Buckingham, in the diocese of Oxford, is the Ven. Cassandra Messervy. The chair of the English Clergy Association and formerly Rector of the Wychert Vale Benefice, Archdeacon Messervy was ordained in Oxford diocese and served her title in Beaconsfield before moving to Seer Green and Jordans. She has also served on the Bishop’s Council and diocesan synod, and as an associate area dean in Amersham and co-area dean in Aylesbury.

 

AUDU. The Revd Ayodeji Audu, Assistant Curate of Water Eaton (Oxford), to be Director of Contextual Studies at Westcott House, Cambridge.

BOWER. The Revd Allen Bower, Vicar of Upper Sunbury (London), to be Priest-in-Charge (Rector designate) of St Nicholas’s, Sutton (Southwark).

BUNYAN. The Revd James Bunyan, Assistant Curate (Curate-in-Charge) of Christ Church, Staines (London), to be Priest-in-Charge.

CASWELL. The Revd Tracey Caswell, Rector of Claydon (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich), to be Team Vicar in the Diss Team Ministry (Norwich).

COUPLAND. The Revd Robert Coupland, Chaplain to the Bishop of London, to be Vicar of Christ Church, Southgate (London).

CHESTER. The Revd Philip Chester, formerly Vicar of St Matthew’s, Westminster, now house-for-duty Priest-in-Charge of Chalk Farm (London).

DINSMORE. The Revd Samuel Dinsmore, Assistant Curate of Milford-on-Sea (Winchester), to be Associate Minister of Great Western Park (Oxford).

DOWDING. The Revd Clare Dowding, Rector of St Paul’s, St Marylebone, Vicar of St Cyprian’s, St Marylebone, Area Dean of Westminster St Marylebone, and Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (London), to be Chaplain to the Archbishop (Canterbury).

FIRBANK. The Revd Dr Michael Firbank, Vicar of Gresley and Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Swadlincote and Hartshorne, and of Newhall, to be Vicar of St John’s, Long Eaton (Derby).

FLITTER. The Revd Clemency Flitter, Assistant Curate of St Mary with St George, Hornsey, to be Associate Vicar of St Cuthbert’s, West Hampstead (London).

GARRATT. The Revd Helen Garratt, Associate Vicar of St Peter’s, Brighton, to be part-time Priest-in-Charge of Ditchling, Streat, and Westmeston (Beacon Parish) (Chichester).

GOMM. The Revd Timothy Gomm, Rector of Portland (Salisbury), to be Vicar of the Resurrection, Alton (Winchester).

GOULD. The Revd Mark Gould, Vicar of Ruscombe and Twyford, now also Associate Area Dean of Sonning (Oxford).

HORSLEY. The Revd Nichola (Nikki) Horsley, Assistant Curate of Black Notley, Great Notley and Rayne, to be Priest-in-Charge of Stanway and of Shrub End (Chelmsford) (correction).

MARSHALL. The Revd Daniel Marshall, Assistant Curate of St Mary Magdalene’s and St Leonard’s, Newark-On-Trent (Southwell & Nottingham), to be Rector.

MEARES. The Revd Tristan Meares, Assistant Curate of St Catherine with St Alban and St Paul, Burnley (Blackburn), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Peter’s and St Luke’s, Wallsend (New­­castle).

POULTNEY. The Revd Andrew Poultney, Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s, Wordsworth Avenue, Sheffield, of Parson Cross, Sheffield, and of Norwood, Sheffield, to be also Area Dean of Ecclesfield (Sheffield).

RICHARDSON. The Revd Paul Richardson, Priest-in-Charge of Tickhill with Stainton, and Area Dean of West Doncaster (Sheffield), to be Vicar of Bardsey and East Keswick (Leeds).

SHERIDAN. The Revd Ben Sheridan, Assistant Curate of St John’s, Hampstead, now Assistant Curate of Hampstead Garden Suburb (London).

TAME. The Revd Helene Tame, formerly Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) in the St Neots Team Ministry (Ely), to be house-for-duty Associate Priest in the Papworth Team Ministry.

WEBSTER. The Revd Christopher Webster, Assistant Curate of All Saints’, Eastbourne, to be Associate Vicar of Hailsham (Chichester).

WRIGHT. The Revd Jane Wright, Rector of Westcote Barton with Steeple Barton, Duns Tew and Sandford St Martin and Over with Nether Worton, now Priest-in-Charge of Shiplake with Dunsden and Harpsden (Oxford).
