New archdeacon

 

THE next Archdeacon of Gloucester will be the Revd John Whittaker, Team Rector in the Putney Team Ministry since 2018, and Area Dean of Wandsworth since 2022, in the diocese of Southwark. Ordained in 2000, Mr Whittaker served his title at St Mary’s, Melton Mowbray, before becoming Priest-in-Charge of Barrow upon Soar and Wymeswold. From 2011 until 2018, he was the Vicar of Hinckley, also in the diocese of Leicester. He will be collated in Gloucester Cathedral on 6 September.

 

BEAKEN. The Revd Dr Robert Beaken, Priest-in-Charge of Catsfield and Crowhurst (Chichester), to be Vicar.

BONE. The Revd Captain Peter Bone CA, Priest-in-Charge of Clifton upon Dunsmore with Newton and Brownsover (Coventry), to be Vicar.

CHALMERS. The Revd Christine Chalmers, Assistant Curate of Rednal (Birmingham), now Vicar.

CHARLES. The Revd Nathan Charles, Minister-in-Charge of St Barnabas’s, Dalston (Bishop’s Mission Order) (London), to be Vicar of Southbroom (Salisbury).

CLARKE. The Revd Stephen Clarke, Vicar of Whitehall Park (London), to be Vicar of St Jude’s, Southsea (Portsmouth).

COCKSEDGE. The Revd Stuart Cocksedge, Vicar of St Luke’s, Parkstone, to be also Rural Dean of Poole and North Bournemouth (Salisbury).

CORLETT. The Revd Daniel Corlett, Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Alcester Minster, and Diocesan Assistant Rural Life Officer, to be Rector of the Arden Marches Benefice (Coventry).

DAVIDSON. The Revd Dr Mark Davidson, Chaplain of the Fleet, now also Hon. Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral (Portsmouth).

DAVIES. The Revd Natalie Davies, Assistant Curate of Swanage and Studland (Salisbury), to be Succentor of St George’s Chapel, Windsor, and Chaplain of St George’s School, Windsor.

DEADMAN. The Revd Hugo Deadman, Priest-in-Charge of Paulsgrove (Portsmouth), now Vicar.

DEPTULA. The Revd Maciej Deptula, Assistant Curate of Exwick (Exeter), to be Church Planter of St Peter and St Paul, Fareham, and of St John the Evangelist, Fareham (Portsmouth).

DRISCOLL. The Revd Raymond Driscoll, Priest-in-Charge of Haven Church, Gosport, now also Assistant Area Dean of Gosport (Portsmouth).

DUCKHOUSE. The Revd Samuel Duckhouse, Assistant Curate of Christchurch (Winchester), to be Vicar of Verwood (Salisbury).

FULLER. The Revd Janice Fuller, NS Assistant Curate of St Luke and St Peter, Southsea, now NS Associate Priest of Hayling Island (Portsmouth).

HARLAND. The Revd Daniel Harland, Assistant Curate in the Radipole and Melcombe Regis with Chickerell Team Ministry, to be Rector of Ludgershall and Tidworth (Salisbury).

HOLDEN. The Revd James Holden, Team Vicar in the Dorchester and the Winterbournes Team Ministry, and Chaplain of Dorchester Hospital, to be also Assistant Rural Dean of Dorchester (Salisbury).

IRVINE. The Revd Gareth Irvine, Vicar of St Laurence’s, Foleshill, to be Vicar of the Bridge Benefice and Priest-in-Charge of Fletchamstead (Coventry).

JOHNSON. The Revd David Johnson, Priest-in-Charge of Watercombe, now also Chaplain to Dorset Police (Salisbury).

MORGAN. The Revd Victoria Morgan, Chaplain of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Newport, to be Rector of Rowner and Diocesan Estates Missioner (Portsmouth).

PARTRIDGE. The Revd Stephen Partridge, Team Vicar in the Lytchetts and Upton Team Ministry, to be also Assistant Rural Dean of Poole and North Bournemouth (Salisbury).

SIM. The Revd Amanda Sim, Priest-in-Charge of Blackmoor and Whitehill (Portsmouth), to be Vicar.

SWYER. The Revd David Swyer, Vicar of Portslade and Mile Oak (Chichester), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Martin’s, Salisbury, and of St Peter’s, Devizes (Salisbury).

THATCHER. The Revd Penelope Thatcher, NS Priest-in Charge of Titchfield (Portsmouth), now Vicar.

WELHAM. The Revd Clare Welham, Priest-in-Charge of Liss (Portsmouth), now Rector.
