COLEMAN. — On 12 April, the Revd David Coleman: Vicar of St Peter’s, Cricklewood (1980-85); Golders Green (1985-90); Eastcote (1990-2004); Priest-in-Charge of Upper Ryedale and Continuing Ministerial Education Officer for the Cleveland Archdeaconry (2004-08); Vicar of Heston (2008-15); Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (2013-15); aged 76.

DOWNING. — On 13 April, the Revd Francis Gerald Downing: Tutor of Lincoln Theological College (1960-64); Vicar of Unsworth (1964-80); Tutor of the Northern Ordination Course (1980-82); Vice-Principal (1982-90); Vicar of St Simon and St Jude, Bolton (1990-97); aged 90.

IND. — On 22 April, the Rt Revd William Ind: Assistant Curate of Northolt, in charge of St Joseph the Worker (1971-71); Team Vicar of Basingstoke (1973-87); Vice-Principal of the Aston Training Scheme (1979-82); Winchester Diocesan Director of Ordinands (1982-87); Hon, Canon of Winchester Cathedral (1984-87); Bishop of Grantham, Dean of Stamford, and Canon and Prebendary of Lincoln Cathedral (1987-97); Bishop of Truro (1997-2008); aged 84.

WHELAN. — On 15 April, the Revd Peter Warwick Armstrong Whelan: Assistant Curate of Solihull, in charge of St Helen’s (1973-77); Vicar of St James’s, Shirley (1977-82); Team Rector (1982-86); Chaplain of the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, and of the Camden and Islington NHS Trust (1986-99); aged 92.
