The exhibition “The Painted Word” at St Stephen’s, Gloucester Road, London SW7, until 15 June, features 20 large-scale paintings by the Franco-German artist Jérémie Queyras responding to the themes, imagery, and structure of Four Quartets (1936-42) by the parish’s former churchwarden T. S. Eliot. A poetry reading by A. N. Wilson takes place in the church on 6 June. www.saint-stephen.org.uk
