The Church Times hosted a webinar in February discussing the topic of safeguarding in response to Professor Alexis Jay’s recommendations for operational independence before a debate at General Synod later that month.

The webinar was chaired by Madeleine Davies, senior writer for the Church Times. On the panel were Jane Chevous, co-founder of Survivors Voices; Colin Perkins, diocesan safeguarding adviser in the diocese of Chichester; David Greenwood, Solicitor with a national reputation for work around child sexual exploitation; and Jim Gamble from the INEQE Safeguarding Group.
