Irish dean

THE new Dean of Clonmacnoise, and Rector of the Trim and Athboy Group, in Meath & Kildare diocese, is the Very Revd Abigail Sines, Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of the Carrigrohane Parishes, in Cork, Cloyne & Ross diocese, since 2022. She was ordained in 2015 and served her curacy in the Christ Church Cathedral Group, Dublin, before becoming Dean’s Vicar of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, in 2016. She is pursuing doctoral research on theology and refugees, and convenes the Church of Ireland Interfaith Working Group. She succeeds the Very Revd Paul Bogle, who retired at the end of last October (Gazette, 4 October 2024).

DENYER. The Revd Samuel Denyer, Vicar of St Cuthbert’s, Wells, with Wookey Hole, and Area Dean of Shepton Mallet (Bath & Wells), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Martin’s, Knowle (Bristol).
