THE next Archdeacon of Cheltenham, in Gloucester diocese, is to be the Revd Katrina Scott, Rector of the Guitings, Cutsdean, Farmcote, Upper and Lower Slaughter with Eyford and Naunton, since 2015, and Area Dean of North Cotswold since 2015, and Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral since 2018. She trained for ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge, and was ordained priest in 2001. She served in Coventry diocese until 2015, in parishes and as Diocesan Adviser and then Dean of Women’s Ministry, and was also an Hon. Canon of Coventry Cathedral. She takes up her new post on 30 March.
Southend archdeaconry
THE Revd Dr Susan Lucas, Team Rector in the East Ham Team Ministry, in Chelmsford diocese, since 2016, and Area Dean of Waltham Forest since 2024, is to be Archdeacon of Southend, in the same diocese. She was ordained priest in 2009 and served two curacies in Liverpool diocese. She was then Priest-in-Charge of Great Crosby and Waterloo Park, in Liverpool diocese, from 2014 to 2016.
