Chelmsford Vice-Dean

THE next Vice-Dean and Residentiary Canon for Congregation and Community of Chelmsford Cathedral is to be the Revd José Fernandes, Rector of St Mary’s, Acton, in London diocese, since 2023, and Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral since 2023. He trained for ministry at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, was ordained priest in 2016, and served his title in Oxford diocese. He has ministered in London diocese since 2018 as an incumbent and area dean. He is also London Diocesan Chaplain for the Gypsy, Traveller and Roma community.

 

BARBER. The Revd Richard Barber, Assistant Curate in the St George’s Team Ministry, Leeds, to be Team Vicar in the Morley Team Ministry (Leeds).

BLOOMER. The Revd John Bloomer, NS Assistant Curate of Roxwell and of Writtle with Highwood, to be Priest-in-Charge of St John the Evangelist, Moulsham (Chelmsford).

BOYLE. The Revd Lynn Boyle, formerly Vicar of Werneth, to be Vicar of High Lane (Chester).

CAUDWELL. The Revd Lynn Caudwell, Priest-in-Charge of Pott Shrigley (Chester), to be Vicar.

CHITTENDEN. The Revd Nils Chittenden, in New York diocese (ECUSA), to be Chaplain in Midi-Pyrénées and Aude, France (Europe).

FROST. The Revd Harry Frost, Assistant Curate of Holy Trinity, Wallington (Southwark), now Vicar of Elworth (Chester).

GOODRICH. The Revd Michelle Goodrich, Vicar of St Mary Magdalene’s, Alsager with Hassall Green, to be Vicar of Hoylake (Chester).

LAVER. The Revd Charlotte Laver, Assistant Curateof Holy Trinity and Christ Church, Stalybridge, and of Millbrook, to be Priest-in-Charge of Millbrook (Chester).

LEITCH. The Revd Carolyn Leitch, Interim Vicar of St Nicholas’s, Fleetwood (Blackburn), to be Vicar.

LONGWORTH. The Revd Stuart Longworth, NS Assistant Curate of Buckshaw Village Church Conventional District, to be Assistant Curate of St Andrew’s, Longton (Blackburn).

MACKRIELL. The Revd Joanne Mackriell, Priest-in-Charge in the Tanat-Vyrnwy Mission Area, and Priest-in-Charge in the Caereinion Mission Area (St Asaph), to be Vicar of Walton, and Priest-in-Charge of Daresbury (Chester).

MARSH. The Revd Jack Marsh, Assistant Curate of Rusholme (Manchester), to be Vicar of Gatley (Chester).

MILES. The Revd Daniel Miles, Interim Priest-in-Charge of Manston (Leeds), to be Vicar.

PARKER. The Revd Phillip Parker, Assistant Curate of Milton Abbot, Dunterton, Lamerton, Sydenham, Damerel, Marystowe and Coryton, to be Team Rector in the Ashburton and Moorland Mission Community (Exeter).

REICH. The Revd Joachim Reich, Assistant Curate of St George’s, Berlin (Europe), to be Assistant Chaplain.

RIDLEY. The Revd Michael Ridley, Vicar of Stockton Heath, to be also Rural Dean of Great Budworth (Chester).

ROBERTS. The Revd Susan Roberts, Team Rector in the Honiton with Monkton, Awliscombe, Buckerell, Combe Raleigh, Cotleigh and Gittisham Team Ministry, to be house-for-duty Assistant Curate (Minister) of St Andrew’s, Tiverton, in the Tiverton Mission Community, remaining Prebendary of Exeter Cathedral (Exeter).

WILLIAMS. The Revd Elizabeth Williams, NS Assistant Curate of Sholing, to be NS Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Hamble and Hound, remaining Deputy Forces Chaplain to the Hampshire and IoW Constabulary (Winchester).

WIMSETT. The Revd Fiona Wimsett, Assistant Curate in the Buckfastleigh, Dean Prior, Littlehempston, Rattery, South Brent and Staverton with Landscove Team Ministry, to be Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the Totnes Team Ministry Mission Community (Exeter).

SCOTLAND

LAST. The Revd Michael Last, Priest-in-Charge of the Isla Spey Devron Group, and Canon of Inverness Cathedral (Moray, Ross & Caithness), to be Priest-in-Charge of the Mission Charge of St Duthac.

Correction. The Revd Christopher Hartley is not taking up the post of Assistant Curate of Holy Trinity, Coldhurst, and St Stephen and All Martyrs’, Oldham, in Manchester diocese, as reported last week. The diocese apologises for the error.
