Irish dean

THE new Dean of Down, in Down & Dromore diocese, is the Very Revd Henry Blair, who is also Rector of the Lecale Group. He was ordained priest in 2005 and served in Clogher, before moving to Armagh diocese in 2019. He was the Ireland National Director of SOMA UK from 2023 until this year.

 

CARPENTER. The Revd Giles Carpenter, Vicar of St John’s, Meads, Eastbourne, and Rural Dean of Eastbourne, to be Diocesan Director of Vocations (Chichester).

DEERING. The Revd Stewart Deering, Priest-in-Charge of the Sherbones with Pamber (Winchester), to be Rector.

DOWMAN. The Revd Jonathan Dowman, Growing Faith Enabler and Joint Area Dean of Launde, Oversight Minister of Launde Minster Community, and Hon. Canon of Leicester Cathedral (Leicester), to be Rector of the Glaven Valley Benefice (Norwich).

GOLDSMITH. The Revd Dr Kathryn Goldsmith, Priest-Vicar, Precentor and Chapter Canon of Wakefield Cathedral (Leeds), to be Precentor and Residentiary Canon.

HARPER. The Revd Robert Harper, NS Assistant Curate of Wakefield Cathedral and of St Michael the Archangel, Westgate Common, to be Vicar of Airedale with Fryston (Leeds).

IRVINE-CAPEL. The Rt Revd Luke Irvine-Capel, Bishop of Richborough (Provincial Episcopal Visitor) (Canterbury), and Hon. Assistant Bishop (Peterborough), now also Hon. Assistant Bishop (Norwich).

KEMBER. The Revd Ann Kember, Priest-in-Charge of the Orebeck Benefice (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich), to be Rector.

KIDDY. The Revd Claire Kiddy, Priest-in-Charge of the Upper Alde Benefice (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich), to be Rector.

RAMBALLI. The Revd Cheryl Ramballi, Assistant Curate of the King’s Beck Benefice, to be Assistant Curate (Assistant Priest) of Blofield and of Broadside (Norwich).

SAXON. The Revd John Saxon, Assistant Curate (Rural Missioner) of Dedham and Ardleigh, of Lawford, Little Bentley and the Bromleys, and of Great Oakely, Wix, Wrabness, Tendring and Beaumont-cum-Moze, to be also Rural Dean of Harwich (Chelmsford).

SCOTT-BROMLEY. The Revd Deborah Scott-Bromley, Assistant Curate of Malmesbury and Upper Avon (Bristol), now part-time Rector of Herstmonceux and Wartling (Chichester).

SPENCER. The Revd George Spencer, Priest-in-Charge of Ravensthorpe and Thornhill Lees with Savile Town (Leeds), now Vicar.

TAPSELL. The Revd Andrew Tapsell, Assistant Curate of Tenterden, Rother and Oxney (Canterbury), to be Priest-in-Charge of Blofield and of Broadside (Norwich).

DENLY. The Revd Kay Denly, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the Netherwent Ministry Area, to be Vicar in the Beechwood Ministry Area (Monmouth).

WILLIAMS. The Revd Mark Williams, Rector of Littlehampton (Chichester), now Vicar in the Afon Tawe Ministry Area, with responsibility for St David’s, Morriston (Swansea & Brecon).

DIFFIN. The Revd Rosemary Diffin, Rector of Kilcronaghan, Ballynascreen and Six Towns, now also Rural Dean of Maghera and Kilrea (Derry & Raphoe).

EASTON. The Revd Christopher Easton, Rector of Armoy, Loughguile and Drumtullagh, and Hon. Canon of Connor Cathedral, now also Canon Treasurer of Lisburn Cathedral (Connor).

FERGUSON. The Revd David Ferguson, Rector of Ramoan with Ballycastle and Culfeightrin, now also Prebendary of Lisburn Cathedral (Connor).

HORNER. The Ven. Ian Horner, Rector of the Bailieborough Group (Kilmore, Elphin & Ardagh), to be Rector of the Mullingar Parishes (Meath & Kildare).

LOWDEN. The Revd John Lowden, Assistant Curate of Glendermott and Newbuildings, to be Rector of Stranorlar with Meenglass and Kilteevogue (Derry & Raphoe).

MacBRUITHIN. The Revd Chríostóir MacBruithin, Rector of Castlerock and Dunboe (Derry & Raphoe), to be Lecturer and Co-ordinator for Ordained Local Ministry of the Church of Ireland Theological Institute.
