FERNS. — On 8 June, the Revd Stephen Antony Dunbar Ferns: Chaplain of Durham University (1991); Van Mildert and Trevelyan Colleges, Durham University (1991-95); Vicar of St Mary the Virgin, Norton (1995-97); Bishop of Blackburn’s Domestic Chaplain (1997-2001); Vocations Officer and Selection Secretary of the Ministry Division (2001-06); Senior Selection Secretary (2006-15); Senior Chaplain to the Bishop of Chichester (2015-22); Canon Treasurer of Chichester Cathedral (2016-21); Canon and Prebendary (2021-22); aged 63.

GLYN-JONES. — On 17 February, the Revd Alun Glyn-Jones: Chaplain and Assistant Master of Hampton Green School (1965-76); Head Master of Archbishop Tenison Grammar School, Croydon (1976-88); Vicar of St Mary’s, Twickenham (1988-2001); aged 86.

HALL. — On 29 May, the Revd John Bruce Hall: Assistant Curate of Beverley Minster (1967-68); Vicar of St Stephen’s, Clapham Park (1968-76); Rector of St Nicholas’s, Tooting Graveney (1976-2003); aged 91.

HARWOOD. — On 5 June, the Revd John Rossiter Harwood: Tutor of Trinity College, Umuahia, Nigeria (1957-64); Domestic Chaplain to the Bishop of Sierra Leone, and Warden of the Ministerial Training Centre, Freetown (1964-67); Home Education Secretary of the Church Missionary Society (1967-75); Vicar of Christ Church, Cheltenham (1975-91); Rural Dean of Cheltenham (1984-89); Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral (1985-91); aged 99.

MAYER. — On 23 May, the Revd Paula Denise Mayer: Hon. Parish Deacon of St John, Paignton (1988-90); Parish Deacon (1990-93); aged 79.

SWEET. — On 4 June, the Revd Reginald Charles Sweet: Royal Navy Chaplain (1965-69); Rector of Riddlesworth with Gasthorpe and Knettishall (1969-75); Brettenham with Rushford and Shadwell (1969-75); Royal Navy Chaplain (1975-93); Missions to Seamen Chaplain (1996-99); Chaplain of St Cross Hospital, Winchester (1999-2012); Master (2012-20); aged 89.
