BURDEN. — On 19 April, the Revd Derek Ronald Burden: Assistant Curate of Leamington (1964-67); All Saints’, Stamford, in charge of St Michael’s, Stamford (1966-74); Curate-in-Charge of Christ Church, Stamford (1971-74); Ashbury with Compton Beauchamp (1974-77); Vicar (1977-81); Ashbury with Compton Beauchamp and Longcot with Fernham (1981-84); St Sebastian’s, Wokingham (1984-97); Priest-in-Charge of Wooburn (1997-2002); aged 87.

GAYFORD. — On 23 April, the Revd Dr John Gayford: NSM of St Mary the Virgin, East Grinstead, since 2003; aged 87.

GOODLEY. — On 7 April, the Revd Christopher Ronald Goodley: Assistant Curate in the Hanley Team Ministry (1977-78); Team Vicar (1978-83); Chaplain of Whittington Hospital, London (1983-86); St Crispin’s Hospital, Northampton (1988-94); Northampton Community Healthcare NHS Trust (1994-2001); Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust (2001-12); aged 77.

MATTHEWS. — On 25 February, the Revd Celia Inger Matthews: Diocesan Missioner in St Andrews diocese (1986-95); Hon. Canon of St Ninian’s Cathedral, Perth (2020); aged 94.

McAUSLAND. — On 12 April, the Revd William James McAusland: Rector of St Mary Magdalene’s, Dundee (1971-79); Holy Cross, Knightswood, Glasgow (1964-71); St Margaret’s, Lochee, Dundee (1979-2001); Chaplain of St Margaret’s Old People’s Home (1979-85); Ninewells Hospital, Dundee (1985-2001); Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral, Dundee (1993-2001); Hon. Canon (2001); aged 89.

OWEN. — On 25 March, the Revd Richard Matthew Owen: Assistant Curate of North Reddish (1989-91); NSM of St Olave with St Giles, York (1996-97); aged 76.

RIPLEY. — On 24 April, the Revd Gordon Ripley: NSM of Timsbury with Priston, Camerton and Dunkerton (2010-17); aged 77.

ROBINSON. — On 3 April, the Revd Arthur Robert Basil Robinson: Chaplain to the Forces (1962-65); Assistant Master of Colne Valley High School, Linthwaite (1965-69); Assistant Chaplain of HM Prison Manchester (1969); Chaplain of HM Borstal, Rochester (1969-74); Chaplain in Lima, Peru (1974-77); Vicar of Golcar (1977-83); Administrator of Sheffield Family Conciliation Service (1984-91); Warden of St Sampson’s Centre, York (1991-2000); aged 92.
