York archdeacon

THE next Archdeacon of York is to be the Revd Elizabeth Hassall, Acting Archdeacon since March, and Rector of All Saints Pavement with St Crux and St Michael Spurriergate, of St Olave with St Giles, York, of St Helen Stonegate with St Martin Coney Street, York, and of St Denys’s, York, and Canon and Prebendary of York Minster. She trained for ministry at Trinity College, Bristol, and was ordained priest in 2010. She has served her whole ministry in York diocese, and was appointed Priest-in-Charge of her current benefices in 2020.

 

Rochester posts

THE Revd Serena Willoughby, Vicar of Seal Chart with Underriver, in Rochester diocese, since 2017, is now also Associate Archdeacon of Tonbridge.

The Revd Dr Richard Fermer, formerly Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral, Bahrain, in the diocese of Cyprus & the Gulf, is now Vicar of Crockenhill, and Director of the St Benedict’s Centre, in West Malling.

BERRY. The Revd Jonathan Berry, Interim Team Vicar in the Keighley Team Ministry (Leeds), to be Team Vicar.

BOLGER. The Revd Ann Bolger, Assistant Chaplain of Holy Trinity Pro-Cathedral, Brussels, to be Assistant Chaplain of St Edmund’s, Oslo, with Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger (Europe).

BRIDGEWATER. The Revd Robert Bridgewater, Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Christ Church, Endcliffe (Bishop’s Mission Order), to be Priest-in-Charge of Owlerton (Sheffield).

BRUSH. The Revd Dr Sarah Brush, Vice-Principal of Ripon College, Cuddesdon, and Director of Cuddesdon: Gloucester and Hereford, to be also Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral (Gloucester).

CHAMBERLAIN. The Rt Revd Malcolm Chamberlain, Bishop of Wakefield, to be also Hon. Canon of Bradford Cathedral (Leeds).

CLARK. The Revd Dr Judith Clark, Vicar of Clitheroe, Chatburn and Downham (Blackburn), to be Assistant Curate of Bilton (Leeds).

GAMBLE. The Revd Dianne Gamble, Priest-in-Charge of Osmotherley with Harley and Ingleby Arncliffe, of Leake with Over and Nether Silton and Kepwick, of Cowesby, of Felixkirk with Boltby, and of Kirkby Knowle, now also Canon and Prebendary of York Minster (York).

GARROW. The Revd Dr Alan Garrow, Vicar of St Peter’s, High Harrogate, and Area Dean of Harrogate, to be also Hon. Canon of Ripon Cathedral (Leeds).
