Newport retirement

THE Ven. Jonathan Williams, Archdeacon of Newport, in Monmouth diocese, since 2012, is to retire on 31 July.

He trained for ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, and was ordained priest in 1987. He served his title in Llandaff diocese, before moving to Monmouth in 1989. He served in several parishes and as area dean, and has been a Canon of Newport Cathedral since 2007.

Archdeacon Williams has served on the Governing Body, Standing Committee, and Representative Body of the Church in Wales, and on several Electoral Colleges.

A farewell service will be held in Newport Cathedral on 6 July.

de MELLO. The Revd Bridget de Mello, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of St Luke’s, Great Ilford (Chelmsford).

FIRBANK. The Revd Dr Michael Firbank, Area Dean of Mercia, remaining Vicar of Gresley (Derby).

KENNY. The Revd Mark Kenney, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of St Gabriel’s, Aldersbrook (Chelmsford).

MASON. The Revd Anne Mason, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of St Luke’s, Colchester, of Langham with Boxted, of West Bergholt and Great Horkesley, and of Wormingford, Mount Bures and Little Horkesley (Chelmsford): 27 April.

MOATE. The Revd Dr Gerard Moate, house-for-duty Priest-in-Charge of the Windrush Benefice (Gloucester): 20 April.

MOSHER. The Revd James Mosher, NS Assistant Curate of St Faith and St Cross Hospital, Winchester (Winchester).

TUCKER. The Revd Mary Tucker, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Sharpness, Purton, Brookend and Slimbridge (Gloucester): 20 April.

WELDON. The Revd Robert Weldon, Joint Area Dean of Elham, remaining Vicar of the Trinity Benefice, Folkestone (Canterbury).

WILLIAMS. The Revd Virginia Williams, Team Vicar in the Blyth Valley Team Ministry (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

WISE. The Revd Richard Wise, Area Dean of Eastleigh, remaining Rector of Bishopstoke (Winchester).
