Derby archdeacon

THE Ven. Matthew Trick, Archdeacon of Derby City and South Derbyshire since 2022, and Residentiary Canon of Derby Cathedral since 2024, is now also Acting Archdeacon of East Derbyshire. He was ordained priest in 2009, and served in Llandaff diocese, as curate and a Team Vicar, until 2014. He spent three years as Priest-in-Charge of Cambourne, in Ely diocese, before becoming Vicar of Ringwood with Ellingham and Harbridge and St Leonards and St Ives, in Winchester, from 2017 until 2022.

 

AMEY. The Revd Mark Amey, Vicar of St Ives (Ely), to be Vicar of Prees, Edstaston and Whixall (Lichfield).

COBURN. The Revd Dennis Coburn, Curate-in-Charge of Brandon (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich), to be Rector.

DAVIES. The Revd Lynda Davies, Rector of Cottenham with Rampton, and Bishop’s Adviser for Women’s Ministry, to be also Hon. Canon of Ely Cathedral (Ely).

GARSIDE. The Revd Nicholas Garside, Interim Priest-in-Charge of Riccall, Barlby and Hemingbrough, and of Bubwith and Skipwith (York), to be Vicar.

GERCKE. The Revd Christopher Gercke, Lead Chaplain of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, and Chaplain of St Barnabas’s, House, Hospice (Chichester), now Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of the Church on the Heath Local Ecumenical Partnership (Guildford).

GRANT. The Revd Richard Grant, Assistant Curate of Thirsk, to be Vicar of Easingwold with Raskelf (York).

GREENLAND. The Revd Martin Greenland, Rector of Acle and Bure to Yare, and Rural Dean of Blofield, to be also Hon. Canon of Norwich Cathedral (Norwich).

HUTCHINSON. The Revd Paul Hutchinson, Team Rector in the St Neots Team Ministry, to be also Hon. Canon of Ely Cathedral (Ely).

JOHNSON. The Revd Diana Johnson, Vicar of Riding Mill, now also Priest-in-Charge of Slaley, Healey and Whittonstall (Newcastle).

RANKIN. The Revd Jennifer Rankin, Assistant Curate of St John’s, Newland, Hull, to be Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of Derringham Bank (York).

The Revd Lucy Sablan, Joint Area Dean of Attercliffe, to be Residentiary Canon for Urban Evangelisation of Sheffield Cathedral, remaining Team Rector in the Sheffield Manor Team Ministry, and Senior Leader of St Leonard’s Community Church (Bishop’s Mission Order) (Sheffield) (diocesan correction).

SWEENEY. The Revd Ian Sweeney, Assistant Curate of Clifton-upon-Dunsmore with Newton and Brownsover, to be Vicar of Dunchurch (Coventry).
