A Roman-era terracotta tile with a cat’s paw-print, which was found on the site of Southwell Minster before the present cathedral was built, is among the 140 objects being displayed at the cathedral in celebration of its 140th anniversary this year. As part of the exhibition “Cathedral 140”, 14 of its most obscure items are to be put on display each month for the next ten months. The first relate to the Minster’s early days, and include Roman coins and a Roman bathhouse painting.
