GORDON-CUMMING. — On 20 January, the Revd Henry Ian Gordon-Cumming: Assistant Curate of St Jude’s, Portsea (1957-60); with the Church Missionary Society (1960-61); Chaplain to the Bishop of Ankole-Kigezi, Uganda (1961-65); Ntare School (1965-67); Vicar of Virginia Water (1968-78); Rector of Busbridge (1978-87); Rector of Lynch with Iping Marsh and Milland (1987-94); aged 95.

GOWDEY. On 23 January — the Revd Michael Cragg Gowdey, Assistant Curate of Ashbourne (1958-60), in charge of Holy Trinity, Clifton (1960-63); Perpetual Curate of Chellaston (1963-69); Assistant Chaplain of Ellesmere College (1969-74); Chaplain of Trent College (1974-81); King Edward’s, Worcester (1981-97); Ecumenical Education Chaplain in Stourbridge deanery, and Council of Churches (1981-97); Hon. Priest-in-Charge of Beeley and Edensor (1997-2002); aged 91.

LAWRENCE. — On 4 January, the Revd Victor John Lawrence: Assistant Curate of St Andrew’s, Paddock Wood (1983-87); Rector of Milton next Gravesend with Denton (1987-2009); Rural Dean of Gravesend (2005-09); aged 80.

WARNER. — On 29 January, the Revd George Francis Warner: Assistant Curate of Maidstone (1966-69); Chaplain of Wellington College, Crowthorne (1969-78); Team Rector in the Caludon Team Ministry, Coventry (1978-95); Hon. Canon of Coventry Cathedral (1985-2002); Rural Dean of Coventry East (1989-95); Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Leamington Spa, and Old Milverton (1995-2002); All Saints’, Leamington Priors (1995-2022); aged 87.

WRIGHT. — On 19 January, the Revd Edward Michael Wright: Assistant Curate of St Andrew’s, Willesden Green (1964-68); Chaplain of St Anne’s School, Nassau, (1968-71); Vicar of St Stephen’s, Lewisham (1971-80); St Barnabas with St Paul, Oxford (1980-2007); Hon. Assistant Priest of St Andrew’s, Headington (2012-20); aged 86.
