7pm (BBC1) Olympics 2024: Closing ceremony The Stade de France is transformed into a gigantic concert hall to end the 16 days of competition.

11.20pm (C4) Ben-Hur The 2016 remake of the Hollywood epic.

(World Service) Heart and Soul How AI technology is being used to help the bereaved.

Saturday 11am (R3) BBC Proms The organist Jonathan Scott plays Wagner, Bach, Chaminade, Grison, Ives, and Tchaikovsky, live from the Royal Albert Hall.

Sunday 1.30pm (R4) Inside the Riots Paul Kenyon reports from Liverpool, where far-right protesters clashed with police and anti-fascists at the weekend.

Tuesday 9pm (R4) Crossing Continents Alex Last travels to Arizona to find out why more and more families in the US are home schooling (4/8).

Wednesday 3pm (R3) Choral Evensong From Royal Holloway, University of London, on the eve of the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, sung by members of the Rodolfus Choral Course. Recorded on 1 August.
