1.15pm (BBC1) Songs of Praise Canon Kate Bottley celebrates Mothering Sunday at a Christian-inspired nursery in Stockport, and meets mothers who are empowered by their faith.

Monday 9pm (BBC2) Is University Really Worth It? The comedian and former teacher Geoff Norcott investigates Britain’s higher-education sector.

Tuesday 9pm (BBC2) Saving Lives at Sea in World War II A special episode to commemorate the bicentenary of the RNLI (1/10).

Wednesday and Thursday 9pm (C4) The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson A documentary featuring archive material, beginning in 2019 and concluding with Mr Johnson’s resignation in 2022 (3-4/4).

Thursday 11.20pm (C4) 20 Days in Mariupol First-hand reportage that looks at the start of Russia’s ongoing assault on Ukraine.

 

RADIO: Friday 11.30am (World Service) Heart and Soul Why Jibra’il Omar, formerly Timothy Weeks, who was held captive for three years in Afghanistan by the Taliban, became a fully fledged member after his release.
