Wednesday 9pm (More4) 9/11: 102 minutes that changed America A complete perspective on the tragedy as it was experienced by ordinary New Yorkers (repeat).

(World Service) Heart and Soul The Polish cultural anthropologist Dr Aleksandra Janus wonders whether she should buy a synagogue back to revive it.

Saturday 7pm (R3) BBC Proms The climax of Radio 3’s Proms Choral Day, with a performance of Handel’s Messiah, as arranged by Mozart and sung in English.

Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship The leader of the Nazareth Community at St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Revd Richard Carter, who visits religious communities in the UK, leads a service exploring the call to religious life. The preacher is the Oxford Dominican Fr Timothy Radcliffe.

4pm (R3) Choral Evensong A repeat of this week’s live service from Edington Priory Church during the Edington Festival of Music within the Liturgy.

Wednesday 3pm (R3) Choral Evensong From St James’s, Piccadilly, sung by Genesis Sixteen. Recorded on 11 July.
