Rochdale retirement

THE Ven. David Sharples, Archdeacon of Rochdale, in Manchester diocese, since 2020, is to retire on 31 March. He was previously Archdeacon of Salford, from 2009 to 2020. He was ordained priest in 1983 and has served all his ministry in Manchester diocese, as a curate, incumbent, area dean, Diocesan Director of Ordinands, and OLM Development Officer. He was an Hon. Canon of Manchester Cathedral and has been a Residentiary Canon since 2017.
