LEWIS. — On 15 July, the Ven. John Arthur Lewis: Assistant Curate of Wimborne Minster (1963-66); Rector of Eastington with Frocester (1966-70); Vicar of Nailsworth with Inchbrook and Shortwood (1970-78); Cirencester with Watermoor (1978-88); Chaplain of Memorial and the Querns Hospital, Cirencester (1978-88); Rural Dean of Cirencester (1984-88); Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral (1985-98); Archdeacon of Cheltenham (1988-98); aged 89.

MOSES. — On 14 July, the Very Revd Dr John Henry Moses: Priest-in-Charge of St Peter’s, Coventry (1970-73); St Mark with St Barnabas, Coventry (1971-73); Rural Dean of Coventry East (1973-77); Team Rector in the Coventry East Team Ministry (1973-77); Archdeacon of Southend (1977-82); Bishop of Chelmsford’s Officer for Industry and Commerce (1978-82); Rector and Provost of Chelmsford (1982-96); Director of Chelmsford Cathedral Centre for Research and Training (1982-96); Chairman of the Council of the Centre for Theological Study, Essex University (1987-96); Dean of St Paul’s (1996-2006); aged 86.

PHILBRICK. — On 23 July, the Revd Gary James Philbrick: Rector of Fawley (1990-2000); Priest-in-Charge of Swathling (2000-04); Vicar (2004-13); Area Dean of Southampton (2007-13); Hon. Canon of Winchester Cathedral since 2009; Priest-in-Charge of Fordingbridge and Breamore and Hale with the Charfords (2013-17); Area Dean of Christchurch since 2013; Rector of Fordingbridge and Hyde and Breamore and Hale with Woodgreen (2017-22); Assistant Archdeacon of Winchester since 2021; Assistant Curate of Highcliffe since 2022, Chaplain of Winchester Cathedral since 2022; aged 66.
