Aston archdeaconry

THE next Archdeacon of Aston, in Birmingham diocese, is to be the Revd Phelim O’Hare, Area Dean of Kings Norton, Moseley and Shirley, also in Birmingham diocese, since 2021. He was ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church in 1998, before being received into the Church of England in 2012. He served in Llandaff diocese as Chaplain of Llandaff Cathedral School and in parish ministry before taking up his current post. He will be installed on 14 July.

Portsdown post

THE Revd Robert White, Vicar of St Mary’s, Portsea, in Portsmouth diocese, since 2000, and Hon. Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral since 1997, is now also Acting Archdeacon of Portsdown. Canon White trained for the priesthood at St Stephen’s House, Oxford, and was ordained priest in 1986. He has served all his ministry in Portsmouth diocese. He was appointed a Chaplain to the Queen in 2019, and remains a Chaplain to the King.

 

ADETOYE. The Revd Solomon Adetoye, formerly in the Church of Nigeria (Church of Nigeria), to be part-time Assistant Curate of Batley (Leeds).

BARBER. The Revd Lindsey Barber, Assistant Curate of Mixenden and Illingworth, to be Interim Priest-in-Charge of Cumberworth, Denby, Denby Dale and Shepley (Leeds).

BARRACLOUGH. The Revd Hannah Barraclough, formerly Assistant Curate of Portsmouth Cathedral (Portsmouth), to be Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of St Mary the Virgin, Tewkesbury, with Walton Cardiff and Twyning, and Leader of the Celebrate Community (Gloucester).

BECKETT. The Revd Ruth Beckett, Assistant Curate of Paignton and Preston, now Assistant Curate of Cockington (Exeter).

BEYNON. The Revd Lois Beynon, Assistant Curate in the West Hereford Team Ministry, to be Vicar of the Clun Valley Benefice (Hereford).

BLACKHAM. The Revd Elizabeth Blackham, Assistant Curate of St John the Baptist, Leytonstone (Chelmsford), to be Vicar.

BRADISH. The Revd Christopher Bradish, Rector of Andover (Winchester), to be Team Rector in the Newport and Carisbrooke Team Ministry, and Rector of Gatcombe (Portsmouth).

BRINKLEY. The Revd Catriona Brinkley, Assistant Curate in the Blackbourne Team Ministry, to be Curate-in-Charge of Badwell and Walsham (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

CURRY. The Revd Christopher Curry, Assistant Curate of Brentford (London), to be Rector of the East Winchester Benefice (Winchester).

DOWSON. The Revd Simon Dowson, Team Rector in the Bilton Team Ministry, to be Vicar of Easby with Skeeby, Brompton on Swale and Bolton on Swale (Leeds).

ENGLAND. The Revd Elizabeth England, Team Rector in the Buxton with Burbage and King Sterndale Team Ministry, and Assistant Area Dean of Peak (Derby), to be Vicar of the Rural Daneside Churches (Chester).

GREENWOOD. The Revd Caroline Greenwood, Vicar of Warley and St Hilda’s, Halifax, to be Team Rector in the Dewsbury Team Ministry (Leeds).

HAMMOND. The Revd Andrew Hammond, Chaplain of St John’s College, Cambridge (Ely), to be Vicar of Wymondham (Norwich).
