BLEAKLEY. — On 30 July, the Revd Melvyn Thomas Bleakley: Assistant Curate of High Wycombe, in charge of St Anne’s, Wycombe Marsh, and St Peter’s, Micklefield (1970-77); NSM of Chalfont St Giles (2000-15); Chalfont St Giles, Seer Green and Jordans (2015-23); aged 80.

HOUGHTON. — On 25 April, the Revd Professor Peter John Houghton: NSM of the Ascension, Balham Hill (2008-12); Hereford South Wye (2013-18); aged 77.

ROGERS. — On 14 August, the Revd Michael Ernest Rogers: Vicar of Ryhill (1988-94); South Elmsall (1994-2000); aged 88.

SANTER. — On 14 August, the Rt Revd Mark Santer: Tutor of Cuddesdon College (1963-67); Dean and Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge (1967-72); Tutor (1968-72); Assistant Lecture in Divinity in the University of Cambridge (1968-72); Principal of Westcott House, Cambridge (1973-81); Select Provost of the University of Oxford (1975-); Hon. Canon of Winchester Cathedral (1978-81); Area Bishop of Kensington (1981-87); Bishop of Birmingham (1987-2002); Hon. Assistant Bishop in Worcester diocese since 2002; Birmingham since 2003; aged 87.

WARDLE. — On 6 August, the Revd John Argyle Wardle: Chaplain of St Felix School, Southwold (1977-87); Team Vicar in the Haverhill with Withersfield, the Wrattings, the Thurlows and the Bradleys Team Ministry (1987-90); Vicar Choral of Southwell Minster (1990-99); Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham’s Adviser of Healing (1994-99); Rector of Bridlington Priory (1999-2008); Rural Dean of Bridlington (2003-08); aged 77.
