Church Times Lenten appeal surpasses 2023 total

by
17 May 2024

WE ARE able to announce that this year’s Church Times Lenten appeal for the Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund has surpassed last year’s total. The final amount raised this year is £46,922.52 — approaching double the 2023 total of £25,762.96.

Thank you to everyone who has give to this year’s appeal. We know that many people give faithfully to TAP every year, confident that every penny donated goes to support someone training for the priesthood. Owing to a generous bequest, for the past few years, we have been able to divert funds to ordinands in the poorest countries in Africa.

It is still possible to give to TAP at any time during the year. Donations made after this week will be rolled forward into next year’s appeal. Donations can be made quickly and securely online at: churchtimes.co.uk/train-a-priest-fund.
