1.15pm (BBC1) Songs of Praise Claire McCollum visits the Auckland Project, in County Durham, to explore the part played by faith in the regeneration of the palace and grounds at Bishop Auckland.


RADIO: Friday 1.30pm
(World Service) Heart and Soul Geeta Pendse meets two Muslim women who, despite opposition from their communities, are teaching other Muslim women how to have safe sex lives.

Saturday 7.30pm (R3) BBC Proms The London Symphony Orchestra and soloists perform Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, live from the Royal Albert Hall.

Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship The Christian rapper Still Shadey leads a service from one of his youth workshops in Croydon, based on Psalm 139, exploring identity and purpose.

3pm (R3) Choral Evensong A repeat of this week’s service from Royal Holloway, University of London, on the eve of the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, sung by members of the Rodolfus Choral Course.

Monday 7.30pm (R3) BBC Proms Bach’s St John Passion, live from the Royal Albert Hall.

Tuesday 3.30pm (R4) Beyond Belief Canon Giles Fraser and guests reflect on the theological significance of gardens (8/8).

Wednesday 3pm (R3) Choral Evensong Live from St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh, during the Edinburgh International Festival.
