Wandsworth post

THE Ven. John Kiddle, Archdeacon of Wandsworth, in Southwark diocese, since 2015, is to retire on 30 June 2025. He trained for ministry at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, and was ordained priest in 1983.

He served his title and first incumbency in Liverpool diocese, before moving to St Albans diocese to become Vicar of St Luke’s, Watford, in 1991. In St Albans diocese, he also served as a rural dean, Diocesan Officer for Mission and Development, Director of Mission, and was both an Hon. and Residentiary Canon of St Albans Cathedral.

In Southwark diocese, he also served as Priest-in-Charge of St John’s, Earlsfield, from 2019 to 2023.

 

Maidstone retirement

THE Ven. Andrew Sewell, Archdeacon of Maidstone, in Canterbury diocese, since 2020, is to retire on 18 January 2025. He served as Acting Archdeacon from 2019 to 2020.

Archdeacon Sewell was ordained priest in 1994, having trained for ministry at St John’s College, Nottingham. He served his title in the then Ripon & Leeds diocese, where he also held the post of Assistant Diocesan Missioner. He moved to Canterbury diocese in 1998, where he has been an incumbent and area dean. He was also an Hon. Canon of Canterbury Cathedral from 2011 to 2020. He has also served as Bishop’s Chaplain and Secretary to the Diocesan Board of Mission, and on the Archbishops’ Council, the Local Church Development Framework, and in the Canterbury Leadership Programme team.

 

CHAPMAN. The Revd Professor Mark Chapman, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Garsington, Cuddesdon and Horspath, Professor of History of Modern Theology in the University of Oxford (Oxford), Canon Theologian of Truro Cathedral (Truro), and Vice-Principal of Ripon College, Cuddesdon.

FAGBEMI. The Revd Dr Olubunmi Fagbemi, Vicar of Holy Trinity, Tottenham, and Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (London).

MATLOCK. The Revd Catherine Matlock, Diocesan Pioneer Missioner (Lichfield).

NESTOR. The Revd Frances Nestor, Chaplain of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (Southwark).

PARFITT. The Revd George Parfitt, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Hardwicke and Elmore with Longney (Gloucester).

VYE. The Revd Georgina Vye, Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of Chard with Combe St Nicholas, Wambrook and Whitestaunton Bath & Wells).

WELSH. The Revd Jennifer Welsh, Area Dean of Chelsea, remaining Vicar of West Brompton, and Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (London).

WILSON. The Revd Karen Wilson, Priest-in-Charge of the Waterside Benefice (Truro).
