Archdeacon’s move

THE Ven. Michael Power, Archdeacon of Southend, in Chelmsford diocese, since 2022, is to become Archdeacon of West Ham, in the same diocese. Archdeacon Power was trained at Westcott House, Cambridge, and was ordained deacon in 2012. He has served all his ministry in Chelmsford diocese, as parish priest, area dean, and Bradwell Area Mission and Stewardship Adviser, and is an Hon. Canon of Chelmsford Cathedral. He succeeds the Ven. Elwin Cockett, who retires on 30 September (Gazette, 2 August).

 

BARSTOW. The Revd Robert Barstow, Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of St Mark’s, Battersea Rise (Southwark), now Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of St Peter’s, Brighton (Chichester).

BROWN. The Revd Caroline Brown, house-for-duty Curate-in-Charge of Donnington (Chichester), to be house-for-duty Vicar.

EDGAR. The Revd Ian Edgar, Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of Lancing with Coombes, and of South Lancing and Sompting, now Priest-in-Charge of Sidley (Chichester).

EGHTEDARIAN. The Revd Mohammad Eghtedarian, formerly Intercultural Pioneer Minister in the Oadby Great Glen Team Ministry (Leicester), to be Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Fletchamstead (Coventry).

HARRISON. The Revd Christopher Harrison, formerly Rector of St Peter and St James and All Saints’, Nottingham (Southwell & Nottingham), to be Chaplain of St Andrew’s, Pau, France (Europe).

HIBBERT. The Revd Richard Hibbert, Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Coventry (Coventry), now Vicar.

HOWSON. The Revd Philip Howson, Rector of the South Leightonstone Benefice and of the West Leightonstone Benefice, Assistant Rural Dean of Huntington, and Bishop’s Adviser on Well-being, to be also Hon. Canon of Ely Cathedral (Ely).

JENSEN. The Revd Dr Alexander Jensen, Principal of the Eastern Region Ministry Course, to be also Hon. Canon of Ely Cathedral (Ely).

MARSHALL. The Revd Angela Marshall, formerly Hon. Assistant Curate of Collier Row and Havering-atte-Bower (Chelmsford), now Diocesan Retirement Officer (Europe).

OATES. The Revd Dr Fraser Oates, Assistant Curate of St Nicholas and All Saints’ and St Helen’s, Worcester, to be Assistant Curate (Associate Priest, Renewal Leader) in the Holy Trinity Team Ministry, Redditch, with special responsibility for St Stephen’s, Redditch (Worcester).
