Walsall retirement

THE Ven. Julian Francis, Archdeacon of Walsall, in Lichfield diocese, since 2019, retired on Wednesday. He was ordained priest in 1992 to a curacy in Wimbledon, in Southwark diocese. Besides holding three incumbencies in the dioceses of Bradford, Coventry, and Birmingham, he has also served as Lichfield Diocesan Minority-Ethnic Anglican Concerns Officer, the National Training Co-ordinator for Minority-Ethnic Anglicans, and the Bishop of Birmingham’s Ecumenical Adviser.

 

BENOY. The Revd Steve Benoy, Canon Missioner of Peterborough Cathedral, becoming Hon. Canon: 19 May, remaining Bishop’s Chaplain (Peterborough).

BEYNON. The Revd Wyn Beynon, Hon. Priest-in-Charge of Churchill-in-Halfshire with Blakedown and Broome, remaining Hon. Assistant Curate of Belbroughton with Fairfield (Worcester).

CROSSLEY. The Revd Dr George Crossley, Vicar of St Chad’s, Burton-on-Trent, and Priest-in-Charge of Stretton with Claymills (Lichfield): 18 May.

DYER. The Revd Kay Dyer, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of Stratford-upon-Avon, Luddington and Clifford Chambers (Coventry): 30 May.

FIRTH. The Revd Rachel Firth, Huddersfield Area Adviser in Women’s Ministry, remaining Vicar of St Peter’s, Huddersfield, Area Dean of Huddersfield, and Hon. Canon of Wakefield Cathedral (Leeds).

FRANKLIN. The Revd Stephen Franklin, Vicar of Crookham (Guildford): 31 May.

HODSON. The Revd Margot Hodson, Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of the Shill Valley and Broadshire Benefice (Oxford), remaining Director of the John Ray Initiative.

JOB RETNASELVAM. The Revd Dr Paul Singh Job Retnaselvam, Rector of All Saints’, Lockerbie, and of St John the Evangelist, Moffat (Glasgow & Galloway): 30 June.

PARKER. The Revd Stephen Parker, Lead Chaplain for Staffordshire Police.

PEMBERTON. The Revd Crispin Pemberton, Rector of the Stowcaple Benefice (Hereford).

PRITCHARD-KEENS. The Revd Andrew Pritchard-Keens, Rector of Olney (Oxford).

SIMMONS. The Revd Garry Simmons, Team Rector in the Glascote and Stoneydelph Team Ministry, and Rural Dean of Tamworth (Lichfield): 31 May.

THOMAS. The Revd Charles Thomas, Vicar of St Andrew’s, Wolverhampton (Lichfield): 13 June.

WALFORD. The Revd Marion Walford, Team Vicar in the Canvey Island Team Ministry, Southend Archdeaconry Women’s Ministry Adviser, and Vocations Adviser in Headleigh deanery (Chelmsford): 29 May.

WATERFIELD. The Revd Janet Waterfield, Vicar of Christ Church, Lichfield, and Longdon, and Prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral (Lichfield): 30 June.
