8pm (Nat Geographic) Lost Cities of the Bible Teams exploring ancient sites in Iraq seek to explain how the collapse of Sumerian society influenced biblical writers as they told the story of the Great Flood (1/2).

 

RADIO: Friday 11.30am (World Service) Heart and Soul Farrah Jarral visits Sarajevo, and hears stories of Jews and Muslims living together.

Sunday 6am (R2) Good Morning Sunday Canon Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad present a Young Chorister of the Year Special, and Sir Cliff Richard celebrates 65 years in the music business.

8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship The Leader of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Ministry Area, Canon Edwin Counsel, reflects on the theme “Deliver us from Evil” for the Second Sunday of Advent, from St Cadoc’s, Llancarfan.

3pm (R3) A repeat of this week’s Choral Vespers from the RC Church of Our Lady of Victories, Kensington, recorded on 30 November.

Monday 9.30pm (R3) Compline A service for the second week of Advent from St Thomas’s, Kirkholt, in Rochdale, sung by the Diocese of Manchester Choral Scholars.

Wednesday 4pm (R3) Choral Evensong From St Paul’s, Heaton Moor, in Stockport, sung by the Diocese of Manchester Choral Scholars. Recorded on 11 November.
