The Archbishop of York attends the Church Times Festival of Faith and Literature via video-link last weekend, having tested positive for Covid the week before. He appeared on Zoom at the festival’s opening event to talk about his latest book, Godforsaken.

The festival has moved from Bloxham School, where it began in October 2011, to Winchester, staging events at the cathedral on Friday and Sunday, and at Winchester University throughout Saturday.

The only other person to contribute remotely was the Revd Dr Sam Wells, who joined by Zoom from South Carolina. Among those present was the former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Williams, who spoke on the topic of solidarity in the inaugural Tony Baldry Lecture.
