10.55pm, 11.45pm (BBC4) The Ascent of Man Dr Jacob Bronowski considers the development of science, and the evolution of chemistry (3-4/13) (repeat).

Thursday 10.40pm (BBC1) Schindler’s List The Oscar-winning film of 1993 about Oskar Schindler, who saved more than 1000 Jewish factory workers in Poland, during the Second World War.

 

RADIO: Friday 11.30am (World Service) Heart and Soul Rebecca Henschke and Kevin Kim gain rare access inside Korea’s Himalayan mission to meet the Korean missionaries driving the growth of Christianity in Nepal.

Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship The theme of the Keswick Convention this year is “Human”. Pastor Efrem Buckle, of London City Mission, speaks of his experience of helping disadvantaged people in London.

1pm (R3) Choral Evensong A repeat of this week’s live service from Gloucester Cathedral during the Three Choirs Festival.

Wednesday 4pm (R3) Choral Evensong From St Alban’s, Holborn, in central London, sung by Genesis Sixteen, and recorded on 13 July.
