Worcester interim dean

THE Revd Dr Stephen Edwards, Residentiary Canon of Worcester Cathedral since 2019, is to be Interim Dean, following the retirement of the Very Revd Peter Atkinson on 25 August (Gazette, 18 August).

Canon Edwards was ordained priest in 1997 and served his title in St Asaph diocese, where he then became Priest-in-Charge of Brynymaen in 1999. In 2002, he moved to Manchester diocese, serving as Incumbent, Rural Dean, and Bishop’s Adviser for Liturgy and Worship.

ANTHONY. The Revd Sheila Anthony, formerly Vicar of Bluntisham cum Earith with Colne and Holywell cum Needingworth (Ely), now Rural Dean of Ross and Archenfield (Hereford).

ARNOLD. The Revd Trudy Arnold, NS Assistant Curate of St Andrew with Holy Cross, Basildon (Chelmsford), to be NS Associate Priest.

AUSTEN. The Revd Matthew Austen, Assistant Curate of St Thomas’s, Brentwood (Chelmsford), to be Chaplain of Christ’s Hospital (Chichester).

BRITT. The Revd Thomas Britt, formerly Assistant Curate of St Mary’s and Christ Church, Wanstead, to be Chaplain of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (Chelmsford).

BROWES. The Revd Claire Browes, Assistant Curate of St John with St Alban, St Bartholomew, and St Mary and St John, Cowley, now Assistant Curate (Associate Minster) of St Giles’s and St Philip and St James with St Margaret, Oxford (Oxford).

CARR. The Revd Leanne Carr, Assistant Curate of Holy Trinity, Sutton Coldfield, to be Vicar of Four Oaks and of Hill (Birmingham).

COLE. The Revd Christine Cole, NS Assistant Curate of St Martin’s and St Thomas’s, Cambridge (Ely), now NS Associate Vicar.

COLWILL. The Revd James Colwill, Diocesan Director of Mission, Canon Missioner of Southwark Cathedral, and Interim Sub-Dean of Southwark Cathedral (Southwark), to be Senior Chaplain of St Michael’s, Paris (Europe).

COOKSON. The Revd William Cookson, Diocesan Dean of Pioneering Ministries and Fresh Expressions, and Hon. Canon of Southwark Cathedral, to be also Diocesan Director of Mission (Southwark).

CORKE. The Revd Colin Corke, Vicar of Longbridge, to be Assistant Curate (Assistant Priest) of Rubery (Birmingham).

CROFT. The Revd Sally Ann Croft, Assistant Curate of Margaretting with Mountnessing and Buttsbury, to be Rector of All Saints’, Springfield (Chelmsford).

CURTIS. The Revd Adam Curtis, Assistant Curate of Christ Church, Longland, Sidcup (Rochester), now Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of St Andrew and St Mary Magdalene, Maidenhead (Oxford).

FRY. The Revd John Fry, Vicar of the Theydon Parishes, Barking Area Vocations Adviser, and Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Chelmsford Cathedral, to be also Rural Dean of Epping Forest and Ongar (Chelmsford).

MAXWELL. The Revd Alan Maxwell, Priest-in-Charge of Ovenden, to be also Priest-in-Charge of Bradshaw and Holmfield (Leeds).

MORLEY. The Revd Gareth Morley, Assistant Curate in the High Wycombe Team Ministry, now Rector of Easthampstead (Oxford).
