Thank you for your donations to the Church Times Train-a-Priest Africa fund

by
02 June 2023

IT WAS a big ask or, rather, the same ask at a bad time. Our Lent appeal to help to train priests in Africa coincided with a cost-of-living crisis that stopped our readers being as generous as they would wish. None the less, this year’s appeal raised £25,762.96, not much short of last year’s total of just over £32,000.

Thank you to everyone who gave. When we pass the funds on to our partner, the Council of Anglican Provinces of Africa, a co-ordinating body that operates in 25 countries in the continent, we will be able to tell them that many donors in the UK have shown their belief in the future of Anglicanism in Africa through such practical support.

Although the 2023 appeal is now ended, donations can be made to the TAP Fund at any time of the year. Donate quickly and securely here.
