RADIO: Saturday 12.05pm (World Service) The Famine at the Edge of the Ocean Raissa Ioussouf travels to the south of Madagascar to establish if the island is suffering “the world’s first climate-induced famine” as described by the UN.

Sunday 8.10am (Radio 4) Sunday Worship The Dean of Down, the Very Revd Henry Hull, reflects on the theme of welcome, from Down Cathedral.

3pm (Radio 3) Choral Evensong A repeat of this week’s live service from St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh, during the Edinburgh International Festival.

Monday 4.30pm (Radio 4) Beyond Belief The Revd Hilary Bond, of Wareham, in Dorset, relates her faith to her participation in climate-change protests (2/8).

Wednesday 4pm (Radio 3) Choral Evensong Live from Edington Priory Church during the Edington Festival of Music within the Liturgy.

7pm (Radio 3) BBC Proms The Academy of Ancient Music perform Handel’s oratorio Samson live.
