Notice board: Beyond the Collar: A priest’s personal story

by
14 April 2023

THE Revd Mark Edwards was a child with mental-health issues and a history of self-harm and attempts to take his own life. But he became a priest in a northern industrial town, and was in due course appointed MBE for his community work. He has been an ambulance volunteer, a special constable, and a lifeboat crew-member. After his earlier memoir, Life After Care: From lost cause to MBE (Books, 12 October 2018), Beyond the Collar: A priest’s personal story (Faithbuilders, available from faithbuilderspublishing.co.uk, £9.99; 978-1-913181-73-4) recounts many conversations as he describes the ups and downs of his ministry.
