Surrey appointment

THE Revd Catharine Mabuza, Vicar of Warfield, in Oxford diocese, since 2017, Area Dean of Bracknell, since 2021, and Hon. Canon of Christ Church, Oxford, since January, is to be the next Archdeacon of Surrey, in Guildford diocese. Canon Mabuza was ordained priest in 2002, and served her title in Monmouth diocese. She took up a curacy in Reading in 2006 and also served as the Parish Development Adviser for Berkshire Area from 2012 to 2017. She has been involved in world mission, through the Oxford diocesan link with Kimberley & Kuruman, in Southern Africa. She will take up post early next year.

 

BADEJO. The Revd Adetola Badejo, formerly Priest-in-Charge of St Matthew’s, Upper Clapton (London), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Nicholas’s, Kidbrooke (Southwark).

BRAMPTON. The Revd Fiona Brampton, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of the North Leightonstone Benefice, to be Priest-in-Charge, remaining Hon. Canon of Ely Cathedral (Ely), and Chaplain to the Little Gidding Community.

BUCKLER. The Revd Jennifer Buckler, Priest-in-Charge of Norton Juxta Malton (York), to be Vicar.

CHAMBERLIN. The Revd Julia Chamberlin, formerly Chaplain of Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, to be Interim Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of Cromer, and Priest-in-Charge designate of Felbrigg and Roughton (Norwich).

FOULGER. The Revd Jeffrey Foulger, formerly NS Assistant Curate of St John the Baptist, Eden Park, Beckenham (Rochester), to be Priest-in-Charge of Westgate-on-Sea and of the Wantsum Group (Canterbury).

GARDNER. The Revd Clive Gardner, Team Vicar in the Wimbledon Team Ministry (Southwark), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Cuthbert’s, Portsea (Portsmouth).

GRIFFIN. The Revd Mark Griffin, Rector of St Martin’s and St Paul’s, Canterbury (Canterbury), to be Priest-in-Charge of Beeley and Edensor (Derby).

HAYWARD. The Revd Dr Marianne Hayward, NS Assistant Curate of St Andrew’s, St George’s and St Matthew’s, Hornchurch (Chelmsford), to be NS Associate Priest.

HURLEY. The Revd Mark Hurley, Rector of Bishop’s Lydeard with Lydeard St Lawrence, Bagborough, Combe Florey and Cothelstone (Bath & Wells), to be house-for-duty Priest of the Living Brook Benefice and of St Mary the Virgin, Northampton (Peterborough).

LANGRISH. The Rt Revd Michael Langrish, formerly Bishop of Exeter (Exeter), now Hon. Assistant Bishop (Bath & Wells).

MARSH. The Revd Robert Marsh, NS Assistant Curate (Assistant Minister) of Desford and Kirby Muxloe (Leicester), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Lawrence, of Chale, of Whitwell, and of Niton (Portsmouth).

MASON. The Revd Simon Mason, Rector of Newent and Gorsley with Cliffords Mesne, and Area Dean of Severn Vale, now also Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral (Gloucester).

MUNDY. The Revd Kay Mundy, Chaplain to the Bishop of Tewkesbury, and Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Deerhurst and Apperley with Forthampton and Chaceley, Tredington, Stoke Orchard and Hardwicke, now also Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral (Gloucester).

NAYLOR. The Revd Gloria Naylor, Vicar of Sutton, in the Bransholme, Sutton Park, Sutton and Wawne Group Ministry, to be Master of the Charterhouse, Hull (York).

PEARSON. The Revd Lindsey Pearson, Priest-in-Charge in the Marfleet Team Ministry (York), to be Team Rector.

RADMALL. The Revd Andre Radmall, NS Assistant Curate of St Paul’s, St Albans (St Albans), now NS Assistant Curate of Buriton (Portsmouth).

SARGENT. The Revd Ann Sargent, Diocesan Director of Ordinands, now also Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral (Gloucester).

SWEENEY. The Revd Andrew Sweeney, formerly Priest-in-Charge of Hythe, to be Area Dean of Ospringe (Canterbury).

WALKER. The Revd Richard Walker, Vicar of St Mary with Christ Church and the Holy Apostles, Scarborough, and Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands (York), to be Bishop’s Adviser for Diocesan Discernment of Ordained Ministry, and Residential Canon of Chester Cathedral (Chester).

YOUNGS. The Revd Elizabeth Youngs, NS Assistant Curate of Leigh, to be NS Assistant Curate of St Alban’s, Westcliff, and St Mark’s, Southend (Chelmsford).

WALES

BURRETT. The Revd Gaynor Burrett, formerly Vicar in the North Monmouthshire Ministry Area, to be Vicar in the Netherwent Ministry Area (Monmouth).

SIROMONY. The Revd Grace Siromony, Assistant Curate of St John the Evangelist, Forres, now also Interim Priest of St John the Evangelist, Inverness (Moray, Ross & Caithness).
